Delaware Nature Society’s Middle Run Tree Planting occurs every year to support our effort to make the 860-acre Middle Run Natural Area ever more attractive for native wildlife.
Join us at this annual event to help us plant trees!
Individuals, families, friends, scouts, and other groups interested in helping: bring your muscles and enthusiasm!
Volunteers dig holes, plant, cage, and water up to 400 trees. We ask that volunteers bring shovels, gloves, and a water container (bucket or gal milk jug).
Volunteers should dress for the weather. We plant rain or shine.
Children are welcome but each child MUST be accompanied by an adult.
The site of this year’s planting: a gate located at approximately 389 Polly Drummond Hill Road, Newark. We will have signs and someone there to direct traffic into the site. Led by Joe Sebastiani.
