For the second year, Clean Stream Champion is partnering with The Tree for Every Delawarean Initiative (TEDI) to help distribute free native trees to Delawareans.
Trees are natural champions. From our state forests to our city parks, trees improve air and water quality, preserve soil, and support wildlife – and they play a critical role in helping to fight climate change.
Trees are limited to one per resident and must be picked up at Glasgow Park on November 2, 2024. These trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis. This year, we have doubled the number of trees to 500. The only requirement to obtain a free native tree is that you are a Delaware resident.

This list is subject to change based on availability from the nursery at the time of the event. Because this is a first-come, first-served event, please come prepared with first, second, and third tree choices in mind.

Pickup information
Tree pickup will take place in a drive-through fashion on Saturday, November 2, at Glasgow Park, 8:30 a.m.- 12:00 p.m., in the lot behind the Bank Barn. See Google Map directions.
What is TEDI?
TEDI is a partnership that includes the Urban and Community Forestry (UFC) programs in the Department of Agriculture’s Delaware Forest Service, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Division of Climate, Coastal and Energy and other stakeholders. The goal: Plant at least one tree for every Delawarean. Since 2020, TEDI has helped to plant over 250,000 trees through organized tree plantings and trees given away for independent planting.
